General Terms and Conditions LICHY / LEDpaleis / Helios Lighting Haarlem

Postage costs.

The shipping costs (registered) are €6,50 per order in the Netherlands. If you order above €50, shipping costs are free. Lamps that can only be picked up in the store are excluded. These can be delivered by a special delivery service. Additional costs will be charged.

The costs for standard delivery in Belgium, Germany and Luxembourg are €10

Pay when you pick up in the store.

You will receive a message that your items are ready for collection. This should take place as soon as possible. After 14 days, an order that has not been collected will automatically expire.

The shipments are delivered by POSTNL. If you are not at home when the driver rings your doorbell, the package will be offered at a collection point. You will receive a message from POSTNL. NB! POSTNL no longer leaves notes. The track and trace mail gives you the opportunity to track the package.

Pay by bank transfer.

If you pay by bank transfer, you can. Your order will be shipped immediately upon receipt of the funds.

Transport for large boxes or large quantities.

Large boxes that cannot be delivered by POSTNL, and delivery of furniture are provided by a specialized furniture transporter, who will make an appointment with you in advance about the time of delivery. Delivery takes place between 1-2 weeks.

You must be present to receive the order. If no one is present at the delivery address to accept the order, the driver will leave a note. It is possible to make a new appointment for the delivery. However, costs will be charged for this. The furniture transporter will discuss this with you.

Exception: If there is an order for an exceptionally large number of items (business order) and therefore exceptional transport, the costs are initially borne by the buyer.


By placing your order you indicate that you agree with the LICHY / LEDpaleis / Helios delivery, warranty and payment conditions. LICHY / LEDpaleis / Helios reserves the right to change the delivery, warranty and payment conditions. For a concluded purchase agreement, the conditions that applied on the day of the date stated on the invoice apply. All according to Dutch law.

Guaranteed price

LICHY / LEDpaleis / Helios guarantees that the price stated with the item on the day of order and stated on the purchase invoice will not be increased. We cannot accept any liability for the consequences of incorrect prices caused by the internet server or by hackers, computer viruses, etc.

No shipping or order costs

No shipping costs will be charged for shipping our products from a total order size of €50. Except for certain items.

The free shipping only applies to deliveries in the Netherlands.

Normally within one to five business days. However, the delivery time is stated for all our items.

If the items you ordered are in stock, your order will be delivered as soon as possible, within 1 working day. POSTNL can deliver this (under its own conditions) later.

The working days of our shipping department are: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The shipments that are packed on Saturdays cannot be offered by us to the carriers before the following Monday. Excluded are national holidays.

If the items are not in stock, the delivery time will be indicated with the item.

If a product is sold out and can no longer be delivered, the purchase agreement will lapse. All reported or stated delivery times are only an indication and can therefore not lead to any right or liability. If the delivery time exceeds 30 days, you have the right to dissolve the purchase agreement.

exception: vacation time may cause a delay in the delivery of your ordered product. We will inform you about this.


The dimensions mentioned with our articles are global sizes and may differ slightly.

Ceiling openings (saw diameters) of recessed spotlights are approximate and serve as an indication only.

We therefore recommend that you only make openings when you have the ordered recessed spotlights.

Information provision

The tips, delivery times, product descriptions and further information on our site are compiled with care. However, we cannot be held liable for any errors or inaccuracies in these texts.

Our articles are also continuously updated and it is therefore possible that the article differs slightly from the same article that has already been purchased from us.

Colors in photos may differ from reality. If you want to be sure of the actual color, please view the item in the store before purchasing.

The delivery times of items that are sold out are estimated as carefully as possible with data from the factories that produce the items, but can vary due to circumstances beyond our control. We do have a duty to communicate frequently with these factories so that we can update the information on our site.

All our wallLights and spots are supplied without a cord. If a cord is included, this is stated separately.

Warranty conditions

LICHY / LED Palace / Helios Lighting Haarlem guarantees that every item delivered by it lightings armature complies with normal requirements for reliability and usability and with existing government regulations. If, during normal use corresponding to the intended use, defects occur in or to the item, these will be repaired by LICHY free of charge within the warranty period.

Glassware and free supplied and included batteries and/or light sources such as incandescent lampsLights, halogenLights, fluorescent tubes, energy efficient Lights and LED light sources are not covered by the warranty.

Unfortunately, no warranty can be given if the defect is caused by an excessively high wattage light source in the lamp that has been used.

You get a 2 year warranty on your purchase, only on presentation of the invoice or receipt.

On LED lamps max 6 months unless otherwise agreed or extended warranty supplier.

For replacements under warranty, the original date of purchase remains decisive for the warranty period.

The warranty can not be claimed if the defect is caused by:

– if changes have been made in or to the article by you or third parties,

– due to defects caused by injudicious use or any other use for which the article is intended,

– damage caused by intent or gross negligence,

– in case of external calamity such as lightning strike, lightning induction, peak voltage, etc.

– overheating due to the use of a too high wattage incandescent or halogen lamp,

– exposure to humidity, extreme heat or sunlight or extreme cold,

– dim non-dimmable lamps!,

indirect costs, caused by the defective item being out of service or having to remove and reinstall it by yourself or by third parties, cannot be reimbursed.

We cannot be held liable for damage resulting from incorrect assembly and use of the product. National and international electrical safety regulations must be observed for possible installation and use. The electrical connection of the hanging lamp and/or ceiling lamp may only be carried out by a recognized professional.

Right of Withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 30 days without giving any reason.

The withdrawal period expires 30 days after the day on which you or a third party designated by you, who is not the carrier, takes physical possession of the good.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform us:

inform you of your decision to withdraw from the contract by means of an unambiguous statement (e.g. in writing by post, fax or e-mail). You can use the attached model withdrawal form for this, but you are not obliged to do so. To comply with the withdrawal period, it is sufficient to send your communication regarding your exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period has expired.

Consequences of the withdrawal

If you revoke the agreement, you will receive all payments that you have made up to that point, including delivery costs (with the exception of any additional costs resulting from your choice of a method of delivery other than the cheapest standard delivery offered by us) without delay and in any case no later than 14 days after we have been informed of your decision to withdraw from the contract, from us. We will refund you with the same payment method with which you made the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not be charged for such reimbursement.
We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the goods back, or you have demonstrated that you have returned the goods, whichever comes first.
You must return or hand over the goods to us without delay, but in any case no later than 30 days after the day on which you informed us of the decision to withdraw from the contract. You are on time if you return the goods before the 30-day period has expired.

The direct costs of the return are for your account. If the packaging is too large, you can have it collected by us for a pre-agreed amount.

You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the use of the goods beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

Excluded from the right of withdrawal is a consumer purchase that concerns the delivery of:
– products manufactured to consumer specifications, which are not prefabricated and which are manufactured on the basis of an individual choice or decision of the consumer, or which are clearly intended for a specific person;
– products that spoil quickly or that have a limited shelf life;
– products that are not suitable for return for reasons of health protection or hygiene and of which the seal has been broken after delivery;
- products that are irrevocably mixed with other items after delivery; - audio and video recordings and computer software whose seal has been broken after delivery;
– newspapers, periodicals or magazines, with the exception of an agreement for the regular delivery of such publications (a subscription);

– Products may not have undergone any changes;

– The articles may not have been used for a long time, but only to determine the nature of the product and to try it out as one would do in the store.

When sending, ask for proof of shipment. You are responsible for the shipment until we receive it. Insured shipping is recommended.

Cases of breakage or damage due to transport, you must report within 5 days of receipt by email This stating name, address and invoice number and possibly a photo of the relevant article. An insured shipment must be reported to POSTNL within 5 days, damage caused by shipment can no longer be compensated after 5 days.


When purchasing a new fixture, you can choose to hand in your old lamp to:

1) a municipal environmental street near you;

2) one of the stores near you;

3) to be collected by our carrier.

With option 3, collection will take place after the 30-day trial period has expired. An appointment will then be made with you to pick up the relevant fixture.

Dutch law applies. Translations of the general terms and conditions are based on the Dutch general terms and conditions. This one is also leading.
